Hello,

I am having troubles with my file sharing. I am not really familiar with windows 2000. Here are my troubles:

I am able to see both computers on the windows 98SE and the windows 2k Machine. However when I share folders on the windows 2k I am not able to see those on the Windows 98SE machine. and vice versa. I shar folders in windows 98 and can't see them under Windows 2k.

I am not using NTFS for either computer. I am using a Fat32 Partition.

I have manuall set the IP's to 192.168.0.2 and .3.

Please let me know what could be up.

Thanks

In Win98 under Network Neighborhood, you must enable 'File and Print sharing'. Win2k has a simalar setting but can't think of where it is.

w2k is fussy about user /password settings. And, on w2k you should create new drive shares (other than the default, that end with the $ symbol), giving them any name you want, and, at the time of creation, giving access permission to everybody.
