file recovery software

I was wondering if there is any software that will work with windows 3.1 that will recovery any lost files. Yeah I know I said windows 3.1. I got my hands on an old tandy 25mhz machine that I am playing with...

take out the HDD and put in on a newer machine...

Then use normal recovery s/w..

i dont think HD's that old can interface on ATA, i dont think my old ibm 286 could do that...fatboy, why do you check out the shareware sites for some ideas...
but for normal recovery i'd recommend acronis recovery expert (was able to recover two whole partitions that were messed up during a partition merge after a lot of other software failed) and easyrecovery professional.
