File on desktop won't delete.

I have a file on my Windows 2000 desktop that won't allow me to delete it. I'm wondering if I should be suspicious.

ut2004-winpatch3355.exe

Cannot delete ut2004-winpatch3355: There has been a sharing violation.
The source or destination file may be in use.

I believe it was a Bittorrent download.

You're probably still seeding it, cancel that.

I went so far as uninstalling Bittorrent but it still won't delete.

Yes, but I've already updated to v3369 so why should this file still hold on?

Beats me. I don't have UT2004. I just posted the info since you had stated that you found the file "suspicious." Only thing I can think of is checking out UT2004's website - maybe there's something there that can explain it.

Then delete it from there - basically a very extended NTFS DOS
