File not found on showthread.php urls

I've met some problem using the forum - links formatted "forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=" are currently lead to a deadend ("File not found. " page). For example links from here.

Currently as a workaround i'm using link like "https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/ID" and replace ID with thread id from showthread.php url. Is there anything else to do about it?
