While loading XP it stops and give the message...

"The file txtsetup.oem could not be found."

Does anybody have any idea what this could mean?
The microsoft knowledge base hasn't been any help,
so now my box is just sitting there haunting me.

When exactly do you get this message during the install? Is it right when trying to boot off the disc, during the file copy stage, etc???

It happens after it tells you to load the disc for any secondary controllers (raid).
The machine reads the disc and not long after that the message comes up.

I'm wondering if it's looking for a raid file...if so then my MB disc may be corrupt.

Are your drives hooked into the raid controller or the standard one? If they're not, try hooking them to the regular IDE and see if it gets past it, that will tell you whether it is a RAID driver prob or not. If you CD-ROM is hooked to the raid controller, that would explain why it can't read from it.

Is the disc scratched? Try wiping from the center outwards, worked for me once.
