Fighting Irish????

Is any other person of Irish decent extremely bothered by our portrayal by Notre Dame as brave and fiersome brawlers? It just harkens back to the centuries of degredation our people suffered and plays off a racial stereotype that has served to keep us from succeeding in our lives and careers. Not only that, but the mascot looks like a frickin' leprechaun! Who will join me in a sit-in protest of Notre Dame this Saturday?

And where I come from the Irish are very much in charge and have very successful careers,mainly because most
of us know how to deal with other people and have the concept of mutual back scratching down to an art form

No, I'm not insulted at all... The "Fightin' Irish" represent our sturggles for independence through the centuries... We'll never back down.. (unlike the Scottish.. ) We've attained an independent state for ourselves, and though we don't control the whole of Erin... it's a start. Once the Royals are gone, I believe you'll see our beloved Erin back in our hands once and for all.
