fighting a moving violation ticket in CALI!!!

a friend just got a speeding ticket on the i5 coming to visit me in sf. i know that there is a website out there that teaches you how to contest tickets...can anyone tell me what it is??

or has anyone fought one themselves??? any advice? thanks!!
 
hmm my friend got a ticket on the way to sandiego once. i mean.. if you were actually speeding, i am pretty sure its gonna be hard to get out of this.
 
its not that hard to fight... but its pretty damn hard to win. unless you have a video tape of you driving below the speed limit... you're not gonna win. if you still think you can win without a lawyer... here you go. good luck.

Take a hearing and throw yourself on the mercy of the court. Its not worth paying a liar for hire. You have the same chance with or without and without costs less. Speeding tickets are very rarely lost, maybe 1/2 of 1%. But they are reduced from time to time.....try your luck, it cant hurt.

Unless you call the personnel office and find out when he's got vacation scheduled, then you pick that day as your court date.

that used to be common, im not sure if officers dont show up anymore...but it used to work..

Yeah, I heard it from somewhere...
 
IS it even worth the time and money to drive back to that jurisdiction and contest the ticket? When I got ticketed in WV two years ago, it wasn't worth the hassle. The fine wasn't that bad ($110 all said and done) and I was able to plead no contest so I didn't have to say I ran the light (which I am sure I didn't but again it was not worth the lost time and driving expenses to get back to their court).
