Fighters everywhere!

I work about ~2 miles from an military base and jets are constantly taking off and landing. Its nice to stand at the window and gawk at the jets and the weapons hanging off of their wings! no :camera: sorry

Standard here. Usually see every type fo airframe in the US inventory over a years time.
Plus a good chunk of foriegn air frames.

Jet Noise - sound of Freedom.

1) Get a 4 foot piece of drain tube (about 5 inch diameter), stand near the begining of the runway, rest it on your shoulder and point it at the aircraft as they land.

2) Tell us what happens (with pics/video)

3) Profit...

yea i should make an AA turret out of cardboard and just lay it out on the company parking lot

ahh memories.. Living on clark air base there was a bike path off the end of the runway. I remember riding by a getting a whoosh of hot air when the f-4 phantoms came in for landings. Pretty awesome. At the time the f4's were being phased out for f-16's.

Freedom? I live in Canada, we have probably 2 dozen fighter jets tops, and we're just as free.

Actually I don't believe that's the case. It's normally illegal to take pictures of the flightline from INSIDE a base without the authorization of the Installation Commander, but there's no prohibition on taking pictures from outside the fence.

I work on an army base right next to an AFB, the AF demonstration team, the thunderbirds, are coming out this weekend. Its gonna be hella noisy. w00t!
