when norton shoots himself in the jaw, why does Brad pitt have a hole in the back of his head? I know this is old, but I watched it again recently.

they are the same person...

lol, did you miss like the last half of the movie?

Yeah but the bullet wounds are in two different places...

movie, doesn't need to make sense. and seriously, what part of fight club made any logical sense?

It made perfect sense, especially once you understood his 'multiple personalities'. The one personality, Brad Pitt, was created to express all the things Norton wished he could be, but wasn't.

anyone?

he believes he is killing himself. this kills brad pitt. did you not see my post. because they are both the same person, him believing that the bullet is going to kill him is enough to kill brad.

the bullet flies out of his jaw, brad pitt dies...Didn't make sense... Brad pitt should be alive...

Are you serious?

Pitt was a second personality. He wasn't real. By shooting himself, and doing it incorrectly, he killed his second personality (brad pitt) but he, himself, lived. 😕

Christ...are you an idiot?

If he made brad up in his head, why couldn't he kill him by shooting himself? Maybe norton thought that shooting himself where he did killed the part his other personality occupied. I think you are just trying to troll now. So i'll quit feeding into your idiocy.

Tyler Durden is a reaction by Edward Norton's character to all the useless materialism and crap that modern men have saddled themselves with while at the same time giving up personal responsibility. The whole movie Tyler is telling him that he has to give up everything. Norton's character gives up the materialism just fine, but he still lets Tyler run his life. Almost blowing his brains out is not only symbolic of giving up his attachments, but is also his way of showing Tyler that he is taking back control of his own life.

Also, if you watch closely, you can see Brad Pitt smoke some weed.
