Single disc just began being produced to make the film more affordable. Problem is... they are discontinuing the 2-disc set at the end of this month. Pick up the 2 disc set if you can find it for a good deal. I picked one up at Wal-mart a couple of weeks ago for $14.44. The price tag said it was $19.99 but it rang up at $14.44. This was a deal that was posted as such in some stores but not in all stores even though is price is valid at all stores. I don't know if it is still that price so YMMV but well worth checking out.

Watch the ending and everything will make sense. I saw this movie originally on HBO and I think they played it maybe 8 times since it premiered. Very disappointing since HBO airs movies until you get sick of them, I think Me, Myself and Irene has been on everyday this week...

Just because someone says they are a movie buff doesn't mean anything. You still obviously don't know a quality film when it is sitting right in front of you.

Don't walk, run to get the 2 disc set before it's gone forever!

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like a Disney Home Video commercial though I don't think this DVD is going back into the vault!:D

Yeah, pick up the 2-disc set if you can!

One thing I found amusing... the whole "The things you own... end up owning you" anti-materialistic theme of the film... and then next thing you know, there's a super-polished DVD release jam-packed with extras... hehehe

I'm amazed at how many people haven't seen this movie. "I don't want to watch a stupid movie about a bunch of people beating each other up." Then they finally watch it. Oh yes. :D Great movie. Get the two disc set while it's still around.

I picked up the 2-disc set when it first came out at Best Buy for $11.99 (reg. $27.99 there at the time) during the 3-day After Thanksgiving Sale. It was rather funny, BB had a ton of DVD's for $11.99, including Braveheart and others and they were all sold out when I went EXCEPT Fight Club, which they had a whole rack of. I could never understand why the movie isn't as popular as it should be. It still stands as the best DVD purchase I've ever made. I've probably watched it over 20 times! Personally I would recommend the 2-disc set, but if you can't find it for under $20 then the single disc is still worth $11.99.

I also got the two disk set for $11.99 during that promotion. I think the problem with Fight Club is how it was promoted. None of the original commercials and previews gave any hint as to the real story and imagination behind the movie. I had no desire to see it based on the previews. I just picked it up because I think Brad Pitt is a great actor and couldn't pass it up for $11.99. It is one of the most serendipitous purchases I have ever made. The movie is great and nothing like what I was expecting.
