All I know about soccer games is that I tackle everybody, and the stupid ref keeps waving cards at me. :|

Why put in a tackle button if you aren't allowed to use it?!

You have to tackle from the front, not from behind, and generally you have to hit the ball first.

On PC PES still dominates - FIFA10 is still using that crappy PS2 engine ported over to PC. I tried both demos on PC and the FIFA10 demo got uninstalled almost immediately, but I'm still playing about 10 matches in PES2010 every day.

On 360 and PS3 though, no question. FIFA09 was already better than PES2009, and EA just tweaked that winning formula a little.

I have FIFA10 for PC - it's the first time I've bought FIFA. While the gameplay is different from PES, I do like it. However, I've been having a few issues... off the top of my head:

- controller buttons don't work as I programmed them (in offline mode)
- online play suffers from micro pauses
- games crashing occasionally when playing online

The monthly roster and weekly form updates are cool, as are the fully-licensed leagues, but I wouldn't recommend the PC FIFA10 version to anyone.

Glad to help. EA's excuse is the same old "Not enough people have a computer that can run the next-gen version." What a joke! They might have gotten some of my money if they'd just use the same engine as the X360/PS3 versions.

Isn't that kind of a general life lesson? Tackle from the front, not the behind. Don't forget to hit the ball before tackling from behind too...

The rules of soccer are very simple, basically it is this: if it moves, kick it. If it doesn't move, kick it until it does.

I was pretty stoked about this game until I read some PC vs. 360 reviews. What a letdown.

Fifa 09 also was better than PES 09

FIFA has become a better game over the past few years. I remember reading an article that went into how they brought in a few new developers who wanted to revamp a lot of the mechanics and it seems to have worked out pretty well

Because you can do that in the real game also
