FIC VA503+ system won't post, help please

I have an AMD k62 450 which was running fine on a fic va503+ motherboard. It completely stopped working the other day. The system doesn't post and there aren't any beeps on powerup. The hard drive spins and everything appears to be getting power. I use an AT 200w power supply.

It seems strange that there aren't any error beeps. I tried removing the memory and booting up, but still no beeps. Is the motherboard dead? Any other ideas? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Rob

The complete system is:

AMD k62 450
FIC VA 503+
64 MB PC100 SDRAM (corsair)
S3 virge video
IBM deskstar 6.4 gig hd
Aureal Vortex 1 sound card

1. Check to see if somehow your bios settings have been changed. especially check Chipset features / Linear burst. must be disabled unless you are using cyrix or IBM cpu.

2. Check to see if any jumpers on motherboard have been changed.Especially check Jumper/CPU to sram Data Transaction. Jumper should be across 1-2 unless you are using cyrix or ibm cpu.

3. Remove and reseat cpu to make sure it is making good connection.

4. Replace cpu to make sure you have not had a cpu rather than motherboard failure.
