I just got one for my wife for free from a guy at work, but it's not quite the ASUS ones I am used to. I put a 1.4Ghz in there but it keeps reading 1.05ghz. What are the dip settings I am screwing up and/or bios ones? Thanks for any help.
 
d/l the manual so you can set the dip switches. The dip switches are beside the IDE plugs. Also make sure the jumper is set to 133 mhz.
 
I installed a FIC AZ11EA to replace my dead (only 1 yr. old!) MSI K7T Pro 2-A board, using my same PC133 memory and Duron 750 processor. So far so good.

Is the 1.4GHz Athlon T-Bird 266MHz fsb the fastest cpu available for this board?

Also, I have an AMD approved aluminum Coolermaster HSF. Does anyone have an opinion on the Pure Copper HSF?
