I would like to check if anyone here know what the company MasterTec does. For the last month or so, they have been in my neighborhood digging and working on a control box. What I mean by control box, it is a metal case that is about chest high. Only thing I see on the side of the tents. It just says "MasterTec fiberoptics"

This is in Chino Hlls, CA.

that box is probably the distribution point to the whole neighbourhood.
We won't have FTTH (Fiber to the home) soon.
Again, the US lagged compared to some other countries. Japan, Taiwan & So Korea have FTTH infrastucture since a few years back.
This is just like the cell-phone lag again
