Fiber Distance Calulation

Does anyone know the equation for calculating the time it takes for data to pass over X amount of distance over fiber?

Assuming light travels at 300,000,000 m/s & 100km = 100,000m
100,000 / 300,000,000 = 3.333 e^-4 s

hope this is right
