Well, to be honest, Americans have no present-day experience with Fiats, so of course we're going to be skeptical.Ok all you Fiat haters can stuff it.
While fiats in the 70s and 80s had well deserved issues for the most part those shortcomings were fairly consistent with its competition in those days.
For the last 15 years since Fiat upgraded and modernized its supply chain things have been better.
There is a reason James May loves small fiats...
I had a fiat 131 with many Abarth parts that beat small blocks back in the day...
Also, Fiat teaming up with Chrysler in the U.S. doesn't exactly exude confidence either.
