This video presents a tremendous amount of mistakes and misrepresentations. The guys literally have no idea what they are talking about, and you can guess why the PhD talks about the legal problems of the FED and not the economics of it. But considering I don't think people make a video without first taking a look at the problem they want to talk about, I guess ignorance here is paired by malice. It's just advertising, the sensationalizing of something most people know little about to conjure to same old little-man fears; i.e. oh my god! the rich guys are taking my money away!

It's not even worth debating this, as reading any introductory Economics book is more than enough for anybody to understand the gross mistakes in their discourse.

Intelligence flash: all of my elected officials represent me, not just the ones wearing certain gang colors. This issue has nothing to do with Ron Paul, and it will remain regardless of Paul's fate unless the people address it.

I know the expression is not Latin, because the proper Latin phrase would be "Fiat imperium" - which translates as "let there be an empire". Yet, the OP is not talking about a rise, but a downfall.

I wish people would stop using foreign expressions and words incorrectly...
 
It's not used incorrectly.

Fiat: an arbitrary decree or pronouncement, esp. by a person or group of persons having absolute authority to enforce it. (reference.com)

The fiat refers to our monetary policy in that is has no auditable backing, only the pronouncement that it is creates it (let there be). It's only backing is the good faith and credit of the American people, and because it has no materialistic backing it's very vulnerable to corruption and fiscal ignorance, and that's become a huge snowball of a problem.

I'm not watching this film because it's probably the same crap I've seen half a dozen times before that is just horribly wrong. These films remind me of this picture.
