Im thinking of starting 1 of the 2 games. I played ffxi in the past and I liked it alot but i hear wow is pretty good too. What 1 do you prefere more and why?
 
There's no objective answer to this. You said you've already played FFXI, so why not give WoW a spin at a friend's house or something? That way, you can compare based on how you feel about them.

In the end, after all, your opinion is the only one that's going to matter when it comes to which game is "better."
 
FFXI is a massive timesink, especially compared to WoW.

Be prepared to completely invest yourself in FFXI if you want the experience, WoW is much more "fun" from being so casual.

I played FFXI for over a year, I could go on and on about it, but frankly, it only appeals to certain people. If you don't want to spend your weekends standing around town seeking party, if you'd rather be playing the game one way or another, just play WoW.
