I've played both and I'd say WoW at this point. It is somewhat of a personal choice. I think FF11 could have been way better if it wasn't designed for a PS2. The interface was crap and they had a huge limit on textures it seemed, often repeating the same monster time and time again (most games do this, but FF11 brought it to an all tooo noticeable level).

FF11 Strengths:
- Nice economy implementation
- Fun battle setup with combination moves
- A lot of story for an mmorpg game
- Chocobos

Wow Strengths:
- Awesome interface / graphics
- Balanced warcraft universe with a ton of content
- More quests than you could ever really want
- Decent RVR system (decent is good for an mmorpg)

FX sucked sooo bad.. long Asian grind (asian companies write insanely long grinds on purpose to keep their die hard asain market busy)
it was badly implemented.. even fans of FF hated it for the most part..
its doing much better in other markets than here in NA

Wow on the other hand is definatly written more for NA Casual style gamers...
you can actually get bonus exp when you dont log in for days at a time so you can catch up with your friends that do...

very easy fun leveling curve... a nightly 1-2 hour gamer can achieve a level most of the time in his play time..

wow is going to be outstanding... its about 80% done and its already a keeper to me..
Ive been in the beta for a while now and I love it..
and im a veteran of pretty much every MMORPG game out there...
