Hi All,

I totally forgot about a FF draft I have tomorrow (first one of the year) and I haven't been keeping up with things very well.

What free sites do you guys use for fantasy football news that is fairly accurate as well as getting draft rankings (top 100)?

Any info is appreciated

Thanks,

Lee

fftoolbox is the best site period. Put in your league's custom scoring and use their top 200 value based drafting list

That's what I used. It had a few players ranked significantly differently than what was on yahoo. We'll see how they do.

The yahoo league I am in is pretty basic...I put in the scoring and generated the top 200...

It had Rodgers at 14 on the list...he was the first QB...Matt Forte was ahead of him...I seriously doubt half the guys on the list would score more than Rodgers this year

20 yards = 1 pt
6 for td
-2 for int

rushing / receiving
10 yards = 1 pt
6 for td
-2 for fumble

Its not all about who will outscore who.. Its more about value based drafting. As in if there is only one RB left that may score 100, but 10 QB's left that will score 150+, you should take the RB first and then grab one of the lesser QBs

FF drafting strategy isn't based 100% on how many points someone will score. Most leagues you only start 1 QB, but 2 RB and a flex position. So it is a lot harder to fill your roster with quality RBs that are guaranteed to get 15+ touches a game, goal-line carries, etc. On the other hand it isn't hard to plug in a QB who will score consistent points each week.

Who would you rather have on your team, LeSean McCoy/Matt Ryan or Aaron Rodgers/Tim Hightower? You could get either pair with the same picks in the 1st and 6th rounds based on ADP. Looking at the FFToolbox rankings the McCoy/Ryan combo is projected to score 507.9 points, Rodgers/Hightower is projected at 447.9.

great point...thanks for putting it in that context for me.

well I got the second pick in a 12 team draft...how does it look?

Listed in the order I drafted in...

I think the WR's are pretty average...but it was the best available given what I saw left when my number came up...

Adrian Peterson
Phillip Rivers
Hakeem Nicks
Antonio Gates
LeGarrette Blount
Kenny Britt
Malcom Floyd
Michael Crabtree
Felix Jones
Detriot D
Antonio Brown
Matt Cassel
Jacoby Ford
Brent Celek
Robbie Gould
Delone Carter

Good draft, you have studs at every position, I think you will go really far if Blount picks up where he left off last season, and a lot of people are predicting Felix Jones to have a breakout year. In fact I'm amazed you got him in the 9th round, he is usually going in the 3rd-4th round. WR is really thin and you will have issues if Nicks gets injured, but you might be able to arrange a trade or work the waiver wire.

Who got drafted 1st overall, Foster? Surprised someone would take him after he posted his MRI on Twitter.

Nice team, not a big fan of two tight ends plus the last few people on your bench are iffy but your starters are money. Here is hope for crabtree too (I have him as well). And why not post my work league 12 team standard league since I am bored:

Peyton Manning
Ray Rice
Jahvid Best
Chad Ochocinco
Roddy White
Anquan Boldin
Dallas Clark
Chargers D/ST
Sebastian Janikowski
(Bench)
Pierre Thomas
Michael Bush
Reggie Bush
James Jones
Michael Crabtree
Ben Tate
Matt Hasselbeck
Bernard Berrian
