Few General Cpu Questions

What should the temperature limit for the AMD 64 3400 socket 754 be at. 60(c)?

How much arctic silver should be applied to it, (should only a grain of arctic silver in the middle of the cpu be applied? Or all over evenly)?

Is their definte damage to the cpu or socket if the cpu was pulled out with the lever down?

Can't say Im an expert at all, but from what I hear you place a small amount in the center and spread it over the cpu mainly concentrating on the core with an old credit card or something similar.

If their are pins bent/missing, then yea theres definite damage. If you jerked a pin out, kiss it good bye. Bent pins I think can be repaired VERY CAREFULLY, but ask someone else with experience dealing with this before you try to repair it yourself.

if the CPU pins are ok...but their is a small crack in the sides of the silicon...should it still work?
