hello,
i am new at using nero. i have a few questions about burning with it. i will make it as short and simple as possible.

1. how do i start out with it? do i unzip a program to a folder, and then burn the folder?

2. how do i make it an iso image? does it have to be zipped, or unzipped to a folder to create the iso?

3. what is the best space saving way to burn software?

4. and last but not least, how do you make the programs on the cd autoexec.?

hope this is explained good enough, if not, please feel free to ask me any questions about it, and i will try to explain what i am needing a little better. thanks in advance for the help. merry christmas!!!

Ok, I am by no means an expert, but here you go:

1. If you are backing up files then, yes, that is correct. You can even burn individual files onto the CD directly, but then it isnt all neat and organized :D

2. I do not use NERO in particular anymore, but there IS an option to just save to an image. Meaning it is not being burned right now. I think for some reason that you have to set the filetype as .iso or else it will be a .nrg file (which is a NERO specific file). If you are creating an image of another CD you already have, that can be useful. But if you just want to make an ISO out of files you have on your computer, I would stick with ZIP or RAR then burn them.

3. I am not sure what you mean, but I guess you would want to compress all of your directories into .zip or .rar files then burn them? Keep in mind that CD's are VERY cheap, so you dont need to save all that much space.

4. You would need to find a program that will autorun (I have seen a few free ones out there somewhere) or you can just grab one off a cd and copy to your HD and use that after you modify it :D Thats what I did, but I am cheap and lazy :)

Try to explain exactly what you are trying to put onto CD and I can be a bit more accurate as far as what you are trying to do.

Hope some of this helps you!
