balut is a little disturbing i guess, i haven't tried it but probably would. don't ussually like little birds but if you can eat it from heat to toe i guess its something to chew on. what i hate are those tiny mini chickens.. sometimes smaller then cornish hens? i forget.. nothing to eat, waste of time.

but yea, other things like snails, intestines, boiled ligaments, chicken feet etc... sound gross, but they don't taste gross

But you can't deny the majority of asians will eat the things I said above and the majority of white people will not eat it. If you were brought up to eat those things then you probably will. Your parents would encourage you to eat them. Asians in asian countries do not eat pasta often. We eat rice often. Yes it is a generalisation but a valid one imo. Like the French they are most famous for eating snails. It is more 'typical' for a French person to eat snails even though a bunch of them don't. The Americans are not typically said to eat Snails.

I'm not sure exactly why that matters. Scots, Mexicans, French, etc. aren't Asian. I used hagus as an example as it is truely one of the most horrid 'foods' I have ever encountered. Trust me, there are plenty of Scots who feel the same way, and I'm sure there are many Koreans that don't care for silk worm larvae, or Viets who don't care for nuc mom. My point is that blanket statements like "Only the Asians could eat stuff like that!" just don't work. Btw, my dad has gone on record as saying hagus would be good in a sandwich with onions. :disgust:

I didn't say "Only the Asians could eat stuff like that!". Just that it is more typical for an Asian to eat the things I pointed out. Not a blanket statement imo. Holds quite a lot of truth.

Side note I've never had Hagus myself.

Like Chicken feet. I've not met many non asians that have tried them for one. Probably don't know where to get them lol.

The way I wrote it came out wrong. I didn't mean all white people do it or most white people do it, I just ment most of the people I see do it are white. But I do see other people doing it too. Thats why I deleted before someone replyed but people already saw it.
