Ferraris still make me giddy

A shiny new red Ferrari drove past me on the highway the other day and I got that old 12-year-old thrill of seeing an awesome, high-end sports car in person. You know, the "WHOA! Look at that!!" Anyone else still get that feeling from exotic sports cars? 🙂

Yes.

It was pretty funny since I pulled up next to him in traffic at the light...everyone was oogling it and the driver was totally oblivious

Too bad it wasn't a Lamborghini. That's when you can let the gay Russian hate speech really fly.

No.

I'm guessing that's because half of ATOT already drives one 😉

Not really, but if you work at a strip club, you wouldn't get too excited over naked women either.

Do you work at a Ferrari dealership? 😕

No, but I don't live in nowheretown either. If a day pass by that I don't see a Ferrari, I'd win the lottery.

No cars make me giddy, but I do like looking at the old school muscle cars. I don't find many cars from the last few decades very visually appealing.

I was just checking Ferraris on Craigslist. For like $40k you can get a used 348ts. It's really not too far from reality.

Look into maintenance costs. They are really high.

anyone who can drop 40k on a used car can afford a few hundred per month on maintenance and expect it.

i still get the "ooo" factor when i see high end sports cars and cool muscle cars and i visit the local car shows regularly. i saw a trailered 65 impala the other day on the freeway and sat next to it checking out the interior work the guy did. pretty damn nice.

Yep, I get that feeling. Oddly enough, there are quite few exotic cars driving around CC Philly pretty often. A doctor a couple of blocks away has a black Lamborghini Diablo and I've seen a guy driving a black Maserati Quattroporte a few times. I also saw a dark blue Ferrari F430 Spider the other day... now THAT was nice (and very loud).

When I see a Ferrari I always look and I'm not shy about it. Other high-end luxury cars like Bentley, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, etc. don't provoke the same response.

Ferrari's used to make me all warm inside, but they seem to be getting more "popular" (for lack of a better word) around here. Lambo's however.....different beast altogether.

Yes. They're still relatively rare in my city. I drove past a red F430 spider parked downtown on the weekend, and I had to slow down and ogle it. Lamborghinis are very exclusive, but they just don't turn me on the same way.
