I'm curious just how many women there are in these forums. I'm into computers but I have yet to meet a girl who shares my interest. I know you're out there, just curious how many. Maybe I'm off and Houston is just an odd place and my observations aren't what you all see.

Although computer related this thread is better suited for the 'Off Topic' forum

that may be true, but geez, come on, like anyone really goes there as much as here. He wants answers, AND SO DO I! More people visit this part of the forums than any other.

So Grisham... Are you a female looking for peers, or a male looking for your dream girl? ;)

even though this thread is "off topic"...it wouldn't be accurately be answered in the off topic forum. there are as many or more posts going on in off topic but it is like a community on its own, similar to this forum. there are people with thousands of posts but i never see them in this forum. also, this question has been asked in off topic, but the answers only reflect that forum. i too am curious as to the number of females in this forum?!?

I'm a guy looking for a girl. To give you a picture of my situation, in a class of 30-35 (Computer Science AB) only 3 are girls and they don't know anything about computers other than they are boxes that allow them to program. Thats why I posted here. Off topic is different, to get a real answer I'd have to ask here. Isn't that wht most of you single guys imagine. A girl that shares our collective interest?

Bump, I at least want an answer or I guess my viewpoint has been verified. Are we all doomed to have such interests but never share them. It angers me to see such a trend. All I can say to you unattached guys is that if you guys find a girl you find compatible that is actually as interested in this stuff as we are, do not let go. You would be one of the few to have ever witnessed it.

I don't know... There's something to be said for having different interests than your significant other.

I'm not saying identical, it would just be nice if I had something more interesting to offer up as conversation than the weather, etc until I figure out her interests. I understand it would be dull if there was nothing different I find it just odd that in such a large and important area of interest which has changed so much in our lives there are so few of the opposite sex at least that I have seen that see that too.

My 2 cents

The male population interested in IT related stuff greatly outnumbers that of the female population interested in IT related stuff. However, that doesn't mean there isn't a handful of babes that are into computers. They're there. Just look. Visit Off Topic for a few weeks, you'll notice many female members posting. Just read around for a couple minutes! You'll see. There wasn't even a need to post this thread. But whatever, you got my answer.
