I just finished listening to "Celine Dion - A New Day Has Come" and I am very impressed with the vocals from her.

I heard she doesn't even talk to her own family before a concert to save her voice..

Well anyway, I want some good female vocal songs. Something upbeat.

What do you guys ( and gals ;) )recommend?

Have you heard her new CD? It just came out this spring. It's actually better than New Day. I don't know of any others off the top of my head, Martina McBride is good. What about Sheryl Crow? Stevie Nicks?

Trance + Female Vocals = Excellent.

Jan Johnston on the track "Skydive"...a classic...

Sarah McLaughlin, Kelly Llorenna, Milk Incorporated, Charlotte Church (with Jurgen Vries) all have powerful vocals.

maxwell sang this song too, in the movie love and basketball. now i am not sure whats more impressive the kate bush, or a guy trying to sing it and doing a good job.

Also Sixpence None the Richer, Ace of Base, or even Norah Jones.

Hey at least he didn't say Barbara Streisand! :disgust:

I vote for Cocteau Twins' Liz Fraser and The Sundays' Harriet Wheeler as some of th best fem vocals IMHO. Especially CT.
