Female Panera Bread Employee Attacks Manager, Gets Laid Out

Honestly, this one looks more ambiguous than the FSU one. Is there a longer video? According to the witness he physically threw her out of the store beforehand, and then she came back for more. He appears to grab at her and take her purse, she slaps him, he punches her. What am I missing?
 
The cops talked to all the witnesses, reviewed the video and decided that she was in the wrong. Good enough for me.

Outrage not found, she hit him he hit her back. If he assaulted her in the minutes prior she should have phoned the police.
 
They are both in the wrong IMO. However there are better ways to subdue a woman that is half your size without beating on her. Glad they fired him, the beating was uncalled for, he should be in jail.

No one should be hitting anyone. There are better, more mature ways to handle a conflict. That said, I'm really sick of the double standards we still have in our society...women can hit men, but not vice-versa. So much for equal rights...

When you attack someone they are not obligated to fight fair, or use equal or lesser force, they are allowed to stop your attack by any reasonable means. Since none of were there, know any of the full back story, there is no good reason to second guess the police response.

I don't think two punches to the head were justified in no shape or form. I would feel the same if it was a wimpy dude.

You shouldn't hit a woman unless she has a weapon and intends to use it on you.

Again, the cops found the women to be the instigator which means she played with fire assaulting a man nearly twice her size. The man has a right to defend himself...why should he have to eat physical assault on chivalrous grounds? And on that point, where is her ladylike behavior in this video?

The double standard is strong in this thread. This would not be an issue at all if it were two dissimilar sized men fighting in this video; probably would not even make news even if it played out exactly as shown. Someone responding to an assault does not have to moderate the strength of their physical retaliation to accommodate the lesser size/strength of the attacker. If women want equal rights, then they need to accept equal lefts
 
It's rather sparse on details and doesn't explain this part of the story, which happened before the video started:

Before Schumacher whipped out his iPhone, he said, the manager picked up the woman and threw her out of the store — down a flight of steps. Outraged, the young woman ran back in and confronted him.

“She got one good slap in and I say good for f---ing her,” said Schumacher.

"It was like a man hitting a child,” he said of the manager’s blow.Panera said both the manager and employee have been fired.

We walked in, in the middle of her quitting her job mid shift. She was yelling at a different manager than the one who hit her and was throwing some bags of chips on the ground, threatening to turn up in this bitch, etc. Really nothing I haven’t seen before or wouldn’t expect from someone who has to work at a fucking Panera all day.
Then out of nowhere white shirt manager approaches her and immediately gets physical with her, keep in mind she’s about 5’2 at most and he was bigger than me... He legit threw her down a flight of stairs and out the front door for really no reason, she runs around to the other entrance to retaliate and that’s where the video starts. You might wanna say she hit him first, but really he had FULL CONTROL over her the entire time, was throwing her around, I think she gets one slap in that was louder than it was painful, then he half punches her once, she spins, and then he REALLY FUCKING PUNCHES her. You can even hear me and my friend yell DON’T HIT HER just before it... I checked on her for a while after the cops left, she seemed ok, she kept saying he really got her in the ear mostly which I know stings like a bitch. She was bleeding a little, and had cuts on her hands but she seemed ok after the adrenaline wore off.​
