Female Moose comes right up to Bowhunter chews on arrow tip

Death wish? Or maybe it was bacon flavored. I would consider tasting the tip of an arrow if it was bacon flavored.

HA!

Moose are awesome critters.

We spent a week camping/fishing in the Wind Rivers in Wyoming and had one big bull moose that didn't like our presence in his valley.
He'd tear up our fishing camp at least once per day...then piss all over everything. <fucker>

heh, i lol'ed at that.

Used to see a few moose when I lived in NH, you could tell who the tourists from down south were because they would pull over, get out of their car and walk towards the moose with their kids as if nothing bad could happen.

You see similar things anywhere there's "cool wildlife."

Yellowstone is one excellent example. Idiots want to pet the pretty moose...or feed the cute bears...then they're surprised when they get their asses kicked by Mother Nature.

I had deer come that close a couple of times. None have ever tasted my arrow though! One bear with 2 cubs came that close (running by, scared by a dirt bike on a road at the bottom of the hill), and another bear about 10 feet away.

Oh man, my first reaction to a bear would be to run away and I'd most likely quickly become the bears dinner. I don't know if I'd be able to just stand perfectly still. I guess that takes experience and some balls of steel.

lol, that would get old real quick!

They run through the yard all of the time. When growing up, my oldest sister got kicked in the stomach by a yearling that came by our house where we lived outside of Eagle River.
