Female Israeli Solders Show Off "Assets"

he Israeli military said Sunday that it has disciplined a group of female soldiers who posed on their base for provocative photos in underwear and posted the images on Facebook.

The incident was the latest in a string of episodes involving young Israeli soldiers on social media that have drawn reprimand from the military.

Israeli news site Walla said the women were new recruits stationed on a base in southern Israel. The picture showed the soldiers removing their fatigue uniforms to expose their underwear and back sides.

The story has been shared widely in Arab media, albeit often with a heavily censored version of the photograph.

The government should be happy they did this. I'ts a great way to recruit men to the Israeli military. :sneaky:

Military service is mandatory for both men and women.

Yup which is probably why you see some of this behavior. Soldiers in a country that has mandatory service tend to not care about their careers as much as soldiers in a all volunteer setup.

I can't see those girls' faces, but I don't care. They're hot.

Reprimanded?? Give them a medal please.

I would be willing to bet there would less bums and criminals around.

Kind of nonsense when you consider that the homeless are disproportionally represented by veterans, not to mention the effects of PTSD on criminal behavior. You'd probably see vehicular manslaughter triple overnight as well.

The muslim countries in the middle east are gonna love this.

Although, I don't think they needed another reason to hate Israelis.

It's OK for a women to do this in Jerusalem but less than 50 miles away in Amman, Jordan this behavior would be grounds for brutal and gruesome punishment according to Islamic tradition.

Torture is illegal in Jordan, however it remains widespread.

According to Rana Husseini of The Jordan Times, there were 12 recorded "honor" killings in Jordan from January to November 2010.[7] These so-called "honor killings", the killing of female relatives suspected of illicit relationships, are often lightly punished by police and the courts. There have been several attempts to introduce harsh penalties on honor crimes, but, even with the strong backing of the royal family, these attempts have been rejected by Jordan's Lower House.

...treatment of victims of domestic violence and honor crimes have undergone a positive shift in recent years, gender-based violence remains a serious concern. Women may be severely beaten, or even murdered, if they disobey their male family members or commit an act deemed "dishonorable," such as socializing with an unrelated man.

Have you ever served in the US military? The military is the lazy man's haven.

It can be... depends on the service and what you decide you want to put into it.

I'd rather see the option for civic service in lieu of military service.

i wish the US had mandatory service.

Not. 'Civic service' is just another excuse for a blood-sucking government program that would have very little actual value. The option is out there... you may enlist or go join the Peace Corps or any other number of humanitarian organizations.

True. Even now there are organized ethnic 'gangs' in the militaries. That is not to mention the problems with the inadequate care and support of our veterans, and the sleight of hand the military is using to separate combat veterans with emotional and physical issues, thereby denying them needed and deserved medical care.
