Thou shalt not commit murder comes before that one... in case you forgot.

But then, it's easy enough to get around that with a few logic loopholes and brainwashing... just consider it a "clump of cells" until the first breath outside the womb (or later) and it won't be murder anymore! Yaaaaay!

I mentioned this earlier. Is it still murder if it is a pig-human embryo? Some day millions of these could be produced for the express purpose of killing for parts.

Human stem cells can integrate into developing pig embryos, a finding that could lead to new ways of growing human organs and studying early human development.

542009b-i1.jpg

John Wu et al./Cell

Previous attempts to engraft human stem cells into developing mice have met with limited success. Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, California, and his colleagues instead worked with embryos of pigs, which are biologically more similar to humans. They injected various types of human pluripotent stem cell — which can develop into any cell type — into balls of cells called blastocysts that become embryos. Early-stage human pluripotent stem cells integrated into the blastocysts, but only stem cells injected at an intermediate stage of maturity went on to form later-stage embryonic chimaeras, which contained appreciable numbers of cells from both species.

Abortion was practiced even in biblical times & yet there is no mention of it in scripture, which being infallible obviously would have addressed the issue if the writers believed that a fetus was a person. There is no biblical support for the modern notion that human life begins at conception.

Your ranking of one commandment over another is strange, considering that the biblical penalty for adultery is stoning...

And the repetition of "liar" doesn't make me a liar. Yes, horribly illegal lengths: videotaping people saying horrifying things. My God, what have we sunk to?

Obviously no one has ever used under-cover videos to bring policy issues to light. Never.

Actually, you're a liar.

because you're a liar.

I said it.

This EXACT conversation happens here. My response to YOU is exactly the same.

So you defended him right? You didn't think he should have been punched in the street, right? Now he's lumping pro-lifers, which you appear to be, in with cucks.

I'm not sure what that video had to do with anything, unless you were trying to justify your defense of the guy.

It makes sense though. You normally attack women and minorities and here you'll defend the civil rights of white supremacists and the unborn.

@Vic (and you too, @Blue_Max you biblically-illiterate moron): the Bible DOES mention abortion actually. In two places.

In one it's along the lines of "if two men are fighting and a pregnant woman is struck such that she loses the pregnancy, the men must pay a fine." In a society where doing the ancient Hebrew equivalent of telling your parents to go fuck themselves got you killed, it's amazing that this resulted in only a fine. And, weirdly, they don't distinguish between first and third trimester here...

The other one is Numbers 5, which more or less says "Hey guys, if you think your wife's cheating on you and carrying a pregnancy that's not yours, take her to the temple and make her drink the horrible shit off the temple floor mixed in water and if she loses the baby she's a cheating whore lawl." Oh, did I mention God told Moses to tell the Israelites this?

11 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

12 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man's wife go aside, and commit a trespass against him,

13 And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner;

14 And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:

15 Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.

16 And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the Lord:

17 And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water:

18 And the priest shall set the woman before the Lord, and uncover the woman's head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse:

19 And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:

20 But if thou hast gone aside to another instead of thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and some man have lain with thee beside thine husband:

21 Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The Lord make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the Lord doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;

22 And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.

23 And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out with the bitter water:

24 And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that causeth the curse: and the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter.

25 Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman's hand, and shall wave the offering before the Lord, and offer it upon the altar:

26 And the priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water.

27 And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.

28 And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.

29 This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goeth aside to another instead of her husband, and is defiled;

30 Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the Lord, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.

31 Then shall the man be guiltless from iniquity, and this woman shall bear her iniquity.

As usual, you never even watched it so you have no idea.

Regardless of how awful you might think someone is, you become just as awful (or worse) by being violent thugs and punching people in the streets.

Worse, you're being cowardly thugs by waiting until you can hit someone unawares, then scurry away into the crowd unseen and hidden by your companions.
You're even now hiding behind burkas so you can claim a pretend hate-crime!

@Vic (and you too, @Blue_Max you biblically-illiterate moron):

Says the guy who also said:
Hell is real. My girlfriend's been there, and not as a tourist during an NDE; she has past and between-life memories. No human religion has it quite right, though the less-dogmatic Buddhists (the ones who don't insist on exactly 7 hot and 7 cold hells, each with a 20x longer residence time than the one above it) are the closest to correct.

From what little I know of this, most people don't ever go there, and most who do are out rather quickly, in a matter of weeks to years. It seems to be based precisely on giving back the evil you committed and the effects it had in a perfect one to one ratio, which is the only way this could be just.

mmmmmyeah. I don't think we're going to have a very productive bible conversation. ;)

I'm a woman, thank you very much. And I've also studied your Bible for almost 12 years, much of it in the original Koine (NT) and Hebrew (OT).

Did you know most of the early church fathers such as Origen and Theodore of Mopsuestia were Universalists? No, of course you didn't, you illiterate moron. And you didn't address the stuff I posted either.

God, you suck at this.

Point of advice for blue_max after reading the posts from Azuma here. Avoid arguing with people significantly smarter than yourself. So ... just avoid arguing with anything primate ... ok, anything mammal.

@Vic (and you too, @Blue_Max you biblically-illiterate moron): the Bible DOES mention abortion actually. In two places.

That is not how Christianity or really any religion works. Here is how it works, you take a verse and the Christian will give you the correct "contextual" interpretation of that verse. For example, Christians aver that abortion is covered. The Bible clearly states "Thou Shalt not Murder". Christians will then tell you what God meant when he had those words put in...... namely that God meant abortion is a horrific act of cold-blooded murder. It is lucky that we have all these Christians around to decipher the Bible for us. I just wish God would quit causing them to decipher it differently from each other, it is confusing for the rest of us.

I get insults thrown at me and sometimes throw a few myself. If the insults upset you, you can choose to ignore them and the insulting post altogether (which is what I usually do). I believe if you remove insults and hyperbole from your own posts, you will receive far fewer insults in kind. Generally when I am on the receiving end of insults, it is in response to the nature of my own posts and in many cases warranted.

I watched the whole meandering thing. A cartoon bear voiced by a large unkempt
Australian was reacting to an African American video who was reacting to a previous video of Aussie Bear who was reacting to Richard Spencer getting socked and some other dude who was reacting to it.

Aussie Bear was upset Spencer, whom he claimed he didn't know anything about, was publicly struck and that others seemed to think this was ok. This is a legitimate point.

African American YouTuber basically felt if you go around saying inflammatory things to get publicity you shouldn't be suprised if someone you are saying inflammatory things about becomes inflamed and lashes out.
This is also a legitimate point.

Here's the thing Max. I'm not stupid. You may not realize it but you are a hypocrite.

You white knight for Spencer claiming the ideals of free speech and freedom from assault in one post and in the next you rage about freedom of speech and freedom from assault for those on the opposite side. Here's a tip Trump supports can't be charged with a hate crime if they don't attack protesters in public. Something you just spent several posts claiming shouldn't happen because:

Regardless of how awful you might think someone is, you become just as awful (or worse) by being violent thugs and punching people in the streets

You've protected Spencer for his inflammatory remarks here but condemn those protestors for their inflammatory remarks.

You can't even debate my points without lumping me in with the "other".

If your "ideals" only apply to those like you they aren't ideals and you aren't fair-minded. You are just another hypocritical bigot.

And yet Numbers 5, quoted above, specifically calls for aborting a fetus that results from adultery. The ancient Israelites clearly did not consider a fetus to be a person.

Thanks & a tip of the hat to Azuma Hazuki for the info.

Any time :) As stated in another thread, I dual wield the sword of reason and the whoopie-cushion-onna-steeck of well-deserved ridicule :D Like that statue of Justice, except not blindfolded and with a fart-balloon on a rod instead of a bag of money.

I'm always happy to point out where idiots like @Blue_Max are both wrong and stupid. His kind have declared a war of information; all well and good, but if he insists on showing up to a gunfight with a damp straw wrapper he's gonna pay the price.
