I'm finally coming to terms that Google Reader will be gone shortly, and need to move onto another front end for my RSS fix.
Feedly seems nice, but I don't quite understand why it needs to run in Chrome in the background, even when Chrome, the browser isn't running. At least thats what it seems to indicate.
Does anyone have a clue why it needs to run like that, or recommend a better online/cloud RSS solution?

ya I heard feedly was good so I go to feedly.com and it's like "Click here for Apple App store, Click here for Android App store..."

Umm, can't I just use the site, or do I have to install an app? I just want it in mah browser. (Ya it has a FireFox plugin but I don't want that either)

I'm currently using Yoleo, it's meh so far.

Was as simple as 2 clicks to import from Google, but overall the interface is too simplistic for me.

Still looking for something better.

The cloud version of feedly is very new, it didn't exist before the 19th of this month.

Feedly has come a long ways in a very short period of time, I didn't like it much when I started my scramble for a replacement but it's quite usable now. It still doesn't sync as reliably as Reader did, but I've been using it exclusively for a few weeks now.

I just exported my Reader data and don't plan to use it again. I'll use Feedly for now and explore other options as they become available on Android (I'm looking at you Digg - And I will pay if I like you better).

I'm banking on Digg. If not I'll resort to feedly. I really don't like it though.
