I'm torn between the following cases:

1) AHANIX Platinum XP ATX CASE
2) CHIEFTEC FS710 BLACK ALUMINUM Mod See-Through Case
3) RaidMax 268 SILVER USB Mod W/ 350WATT
4) ANTEC LIFE STYLE SERIES SONATA PIANO BLACK Model# Sonata w/ ANTEC TRUE380 380W Power Supply

This is the first time I'll be building a comp. Does this look like it's going to work?
Do I need anything else? Feedback is appreciated!

Thanks!

For that CPU to perform like it's made to, you need two or four memory modules so the motherboard can run in dual-channel mode. And it's made for DDR400. So I'm thinking your friend is very generous but you may want to sell the module and use the money for some Corsair PC3500C2 modules. Otherwise, it's like having a Dodge Viper that's running the tires off a Neon... icky! 😛

As for the case/power question, no contest... Antec all the way. The quality of the power supply is important with a system like you're setting up, and the Antec is da real deal. That PSU sells for about $70 all by itself.

Good luck with your new system! 🙂
