Od has it for $149 at the TechDepot division, and then there is the 20% coupon, so it looks good price wise, how about reliability etc? I know it's not a flat screen...

**skip this - turns out OD coupons are not valid at TechDepot division ***

I remember some members upset about them being shipped instead of a 950p in a dell deal. It seems they do not have the same refresh rate as the 950p at higher resolutions. At lower resolutions it is probably a good monitor, but who wants to run a 19 incher at 800x600?

I don't know much about the 950b (which I understand is the predecessor to the 950p), but I love my 950p. It is razor sharp and crystal clear and it doesn't have those damn annoying lines like on the trinitrons.

Yes you can switch text by right clicking on the desktop/properties/settings/advanced/general/display/font size

I guess you can see the pixels if you're running at 800x600. The 950p is a great 19" shadow mask monitor. Maybe you have a bad one. I run mine at 1280x1027 with large fonts and it has great resolution.

First of all, I stand corrected. Here's one that does run a 19 incher at 800x600.

Second, I bought 3 950p's for presents a year ago. They all are running strong @ 1024x768, and I've been told by all the owners they love their monitor.

Last, we're talking about a $200-300 monitor. It's not going to compete with $500 trinitrons or flat panel displays.

I can't for the life of me find the thread on the dell deal when people were shipped the wrong monitor. Perhaps someone remembers and can do a more refined search.

I am have the 950P sett at 1024/768. It kicks a**, and is rated has been rated #1 in its class. I use a 22" Diamondtron for my main, but my Medal of Honor buddies don't complain when they're on it.
