Hello
I am debating getting the new vaio SA 290 CTO:
Wanted feedback on anyone's hand on experience and what you configured;

I these additional questions:
  1. Corei5-2420 versue the corei7-2620
  2. 7200 HD versus SSD
  3. if you get the lowest SSD 128gig is the system able to take a replacement when prices come down--it seems that the 256gig is arranged 128gigX2 and so on for the larger capacities
thanks to all who respond

1. Depends on what you do.
2. I don't see the point of buying a HDD these days
3. SSD - no I don't believe the SA series uses the proprietary Sony modules, but rather standard 2.5" drives in line with the SB. You could get the 128Gb to start with and clone it later onto something bigger.

1. Depends on what you do - if the most cpu-intensive thing is gaming, I'd focus more on the GPU. For the most part the i5-2410 will be fine for everyday uses.
2. Depends on your budget/data capacity needs. Is this your only system? If yes I'd go with an HDD for the time being.
3. I don't see why not.
