The very sad thing is that people who side with Democrats will only see positive things about Obamacare while the people who side will Republicans will only see negative things. I don't claim to be without biases, because I have plenty, but this healthcare thing is just terrible. No other way around it. Sorry Democrats, it is what it is. And Republicans, don't get happy over its demise - people suffer when things like this happen.
It's implementation is certainly terrible, and there are parts of it I mightily dislike, but there are some good parts too. As far as its demise, federal government programs of this size don't go away, ever. They only grow. It may get better and it may get worse, but either way it will only continue to grow until it collapses - at which point it will be replaced with an even bigger federal single payer system.

There is zero chance of this "getting better".

Here is what its looking like so far:

Obama claimed this was to help all people without insurance. Its not. Its another form of welfare. People like me without insurance who make ok money are getting raped. Coverage for myself and my son under this plan would be roughly $9k/year with a $5k deductible. That's $14k/year I don't have. Right now I pay out of pocket for his diabetes supplies and I've managed to keep the cost at right about $5k/year.

Obama told the country they can still buy insurance by calling the 800 number. That's a lie. They cannot.

The company who set this up has said 3 years was not enough time to set it up. If you can't get something like this up in under 3 years, its never going to be up.

The reality is that it would have been more cost effective to just pay the policies for the few hundred thousand people who are going to get insurance from this, if its even that many. We are quickly approaching $750,000,000,000 on this and the only real thing that has happened is hundreds of thousands of people have lost their health insurance, doctors have closed their doors and companies have had to cut back their workforce. The doctors still in business have to schedule more appointments to increase revenue, which is driving up wait times. I can only imagine how long those times will get once this goes into full effect.

If we let this monstrosity fester, its going to hurt our country even worse than it has. This is not political talk...this is real talk. Our economy, our health and our children's health are all in great danger.

Sadly, the dems are hopelessly invested in Obama; they're terrified at having their 'historical president' be seen as anything but a rousing success. And though I'm on the conservative side (please don't call me a republican), I get no joy at what's happening. There are reforms and restructuring that could've been done with the existing system, along with some involvement by the government to cover the exceptions, but all the dems wanted was their stepping stone to take it all over.
