Fedora Core 5

I wanted to put FC5 on my computer and had a few questions. I know that FC5 is broken into 5 iso files. Should I just burn them onto a cd and run from the CD at start up, or would that not work. Ive never ran linux so im a bit clueless on it.

You shouldn't need to convert it. I forget where the options are in nero and easy cd creator, but you don't just drag the file onto the disk. There's an option to "burn as an image," since an ISO is basically an optical disc image.

ok thats what I figured. Iso is already an image file, that is why I got confused. Also do you have to burn all 5 cds as an image, or can you just do this on the first cd?

I think it depends on the software you select to install. I'd do them all, cds are cheap and burners are fast. 😉

Actually, if you just double-click the ISO file it should automatically open whatever burning software you are using.
