FedEx sucks HARD **UPDATE** > GOT IT!

NEVER will I make FedEx my primary carrier. Of 6 FedEx shipments (recently) 3 have been late or misdelivered.

I only use UPS when shipping for my business.. Over 300 packages later. NO late air shipments, NO shipping damage claims, NO lost packages. NO problems on incoming supply shipments either, the majority of them air shipments.

Not to mention FedEx's suck ass tracking is useless..

Thanks FedEx, the Christmas center piece/flower arrangement will be nice when I get it AFTER CHRISTMAS.. :| :| :| :| :|

**UPDATE**

Seems NICELY complaining works, called this AM, rep seemed shocked.. it was out for delivery. 😀. She said almost all late packages are being held for pickup, with some centers open, Tampa's was. I gave the driver a tin of little cookies (regifted, sealed 😛), and thanked him. He said the only drivers on the road were volunteers, no pay differential for working Christams (Suck it, FedEx management. :|) and he appreciated the cookies.

The wife was VERY happy.. 20 red tulips and some Ghiardelli chocolates..

I hate UPS.. they totally overcharge, and they are slow.

FedEx is fast, and they are alot cheaper.. I will NEVER ship UPS by choice.. only if I have no choice.. no good experiences with them.

I haven't had too bad of a time with FedEx, but I have to agree that their tracking is useless. A couple times the tracking doesnt even show up in their system until AFTER I got the package.... how does that help me on the status? 😕

UPS has been good to me. No lost packages, nothing damaged, everything on time, and I find their tracking system to be useful at least.

Airborne Express is the worst shipping company ever.

I heard from a FedEx CSR on this forum that FedEx got f'ed over for Christmas. It's pretty bad when they cancel their money-back policy. Here's him, verbatim.

From a poster named Will, on 12/21/2002...
You're SO F---ED. I know the drivers will be doing deliveries all day today (saturday) and tomorrow (sunday dec. 22)...but FedEx is completely destroyed right now. Not only is everyf---ingthing late, but they've suspended the money-back policy AND have begun to simply drop packages off without a signature.

Look, don't leave a message with the online tracking anything. If you're pissed off, or things look bad, ALWAYS call customer service. I guarantee you'll get about 32498734 times more action.

Although, in this situation, you're basically f---ed. We have like millions of late packages, yours is just one of those millions. Yeah, you're f---ed. I doubt they'll be able to do anything except tell you as much in more polite phraseology.

Just accept the fact you might not get it until monday and think about something else. For example, you can think about me rubbing beef gravy into my thighs like some sort of moisturizing lotion.

EDIT by PAB: I get free pickups, I can walk into the center at 8:30AM (Or earlier!) and pull my package from my driver's truck, and I can drop off stuff at 8:30 before the OTR drivers leave for Jacksonville/Orlando, and all the managers know me by voice. They've saved me a LOT of potential headaches this year. If I could have found christmas cards with union reindeer on them, I would have posted one on the center manager's door.

FedEx is much better for US-Canadian shipping. You're not even touching on the customs crap UPS tries to pull.

That is extremely disturbing!

I thought it was extremely funny. I also thought the arrow in the FedEx logo was hilarious.

I don't like UPS because of how slow their ground shipping is, 5-6 days. Fedex ground takes like 3-4 days. I no longer like the post office, screw them for their rate hikes. I like shipping with airborne express, fast and super cheap.

I am though.. Brokerage (customs crap) on a mobo coming from the U.S. was $77... i almost punched a hole in the wall... that was the absolute last straw for UPS
shipping was $23 and Brokerage $77... look at that.. $100 to get a mobo here.. :|:|:|

I got that crap from them today too, you know it's bad when they lead off the discussion by telling you the guarantee is off. They are also waiving signature required... I can confirm your source.. 🙁

Oh and they told me they will have couriers running all day CHristmans... Riiigght..

From a shipping business standpoint, UPS does MUCH more for the shipper than Fedex, and the prices are reasonable once you have a real account. I will give Canada to Fedex, they can have it, I don't ship to Canada anyway.. 😛

I had no problem getting my FedEx packages today. I also received one from UPS as well. Generally, I use FedEx and have very minor complaints every year or so.

Ouch, sounds like you have had some bad luck. I have had nothing but good luck from them, but only ship a package or two a month.

I have never had a problem with their speed but I would like it if they would actually wait for me to answer the door before driving off and living my stuff on the porch. Both FedEx and UPS do this to me.

I've never shipped with UPS or FedEx......only USPS so far.....no problems, it's not THAT expensive, hah, never compared to fedex/ups.....

Uhh... doesn't UPS and FedEx regularly pull their money-back and delivery date guarantees this time of year on non-Express shipments? I swear, there's always a note at the service counters that say that starting in early December. So it's not as bad as some of you are making it out to be...

No, they don't regularly. I can't remember the last time UPS did. And FedEx doesn't have the balls to admit it on their website. :| It says all guarantees are in place, both CSR's I've spoken with today lead off the discussion telling me there was NO guarantee due to hig volume.

FedEx can suck it.. :|

If FedEX sucks and UPS sucks harder, you guys must either be having the time of your life or feeling a bit stretched. 😉:Q

I like Fedex than United Package Smasher better..
