I didn't know that fedex deliver on saturday for no extra fee! and it came today instead of monday/tuesday if was UPS slow/poor service. Fedex must gotten better for some reason, because you see my order shipped wednesday arrived friday, shipped thursday arrived saturday. Fedex also now leave my package just like UPS, plus they are much faster and they handle your package gently as if it was fragile. The problem with UPS ground is that it is cheap but too slow, or 3day/2day they charge too much and still slow, possibly a 1-2 days delay. I am just amazed at Fedex delivery service, they are ahead of their scheduled delivery most of the time, and the latest would be no later then their deadline.
It should have taken 3 days which would be monday, and tuesady since it was coming from Texas. This is ground service btw, not even saver/2nd day delivery :D

UPS puts much more emphasis on businesses than residential customers, even so, I have never had a single problem with shipping UPS... outside of an address problem in shipping to Canada.

UPS is too hard on the packages... the last parcel that came to me was all wet and dirty.. DISGUSTING! it's also expensive. you'd think if you pay MORE than FedEx they'd take better care of the parcel... oh, did i also mention that they are SLOWER than FedEx?

FedEx for life!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

UPS, they are alway late on delivery. let's say it suppose to take 5 days from CA to GA right? but instead I get it on the 6th day, and getting worse. Then, another of my package arrived 3 days later then it scheduled. Another time, my package was left sitting there for pickup like a week before they started moving it around taking 10 days instead, just plain BAD. What's up with that?

Fedex treats their packages better.. I know, I ordered about $5000 worth of equipment from pssl.com (DJ Equipment) and they used UPS at the time... haha, my boxes were smashed up and I had to send one speaker back due to a huge ass hole in the side of it (still worked, but yeah)

Anyways, they now ship fedex... and it's for a reason too. I got my package from them sooner, and it wasn't bent all to hell.

All of you who are complaing about stuff being late from UPS... you realize that they now garauntee ground shipments? If you don't get it by the garaunteed date, you can call and the shipper will get reimbursed.

That's a good way too keep vendor using UPS indefinitely. I rather not do business with anyone who refuses to change shipping method so that UPS would get their acts straighten up. at least until they change their way or they don't deserve anyone's business whether home or business user.
UPS truck are so noisy, I can hear them miles away. There's really no need to knock on the door is there? Usually I am already at the door waiting before they even deliver my package! They look at me kind of funny like, "wtf?, what you standing there for?" Also, they not gurantee scheduled delivery date.
Where did you get this from? if what you say is true then they be out of business in no time because 90 percent of the time, they're always late!

I wish fedex would get rid of that fvcking retarded "one delivery attempt" rule.:disgust: I went to pick up my ibook today (it was shipped on monday with 2nd day delivery and got to the fedex station friday @ 15:00) and the guy said "you cant pick it up today, we have to make at least one delivery attempt":| Idiots. I don't understand why the fvck they have to make picking up a package so god damn difficult. :disgust:

But wouldn't it be better if they just delivered when they said they would? I've shipped 200+ packages via Fedex. From a money order, to a set of rims and tires. Never once did I log on to track it to see a packaged delayed and rescheduled for some unknown reason, although they have lost 1 package of mine. 1 out of 200 (conservative #) = 0.5% loss/delay rate i've personally experienced. Yet i've ordered stuff online of which < 25 were shipped via UPS ground. I know I've had at least 5 that were delayed at least 1 day from their scheduled delivery day. I'll take the .5% over the 20% any day.

Fedex uses UPS.

I received an item shipped FedEx Economy from Newegg and there was a UPS logo in the bottom corner of the shipping label.

One thing I've heard is that UPS handles insurance claims MUCH better and professional than FedEx, that might have changed though. As for package handling we all know that just depends on the driver. My local UPS guy is very nice and carfeful compared the the FedEx guy who rushes everything and kicks my front door if I'm not home. (well he doesn't really but it seems that he would) ;) And this doesn't include the chain of underpaid workers that sort packages in a noisy factory everyday.

Personally I just choose whoever has the best price to the place I'm shipping, sometimes there's a $5 difference.
