FedEx question

if fedex tries to deliver in the morning and no one is home, do they try to redeliver later that night?

i have something coming in via 2 day shipping and this mornign they tried to deliver at 10am but no one was home so i check online w/ my tarcking number and it says Estimated delivery reattempt date: 10/28 by 12:00 am.

so does this mean that they'll try to redeliver the item tonite by midnite? has anyone had this happen before?? just wanna know if i should stay up and wait for it

thanks

Usually they'll leave a delivery attempt tag on your door. You can go to your local FedEx hub and pick up the package yourself with the tag. As far as them trying a redeliver on the same day, I've never had that happen but I wouldn't doubt it.

The fed ex man takes those packages home at the end of the day. Perk of the job. What's he playing with of yours?

Sometimes. Get to know your Fed Ex guy.

My guy will often stop me in the street if he sees me, or come back later in the day if I'm not home the first try.

if i know he's coming and ill be gone i usually just leave a note on the door asking him to leave it behind the back gate

and i also leave a little sticker that has my sig so he can stick it on his clipboard 😀

um to all those know-it-alls that said "no", it depends on where you live. i live in a collegetown and the fedex delivery guy knows that students may or may not be home during the day. around here they always come around twice. once around noon and again around 3-4pm. UPS has a better method around here IMO: the driver will leave a notice on your door, and he'll park his truck in the middle of collegetown between 4:45 and 5pm everyday and you can go pick up your packages there.

:Q OMG, talk about an insurance company's worst nightmare!! Did everyone get out?

You should be able to leave a notation on file that they are to leave packages someplace you specify if you aren't home, and that you waive signature requirement.
