Fedex or UPS?

Universal Piece of shiet, is what we like to call UPS.. its pretty much the same as DHL. Fedex is the best, but here its also the most expensive. for save delivery go with fedex,

when you absolutely, postively need your stuff (delivered & received promptly) go Purple/Orange in lieu of Brown...

UPS leaves my stuff under my doormat on the front porch (risky)...

FEDEX leaves the delivery notice, giving me the option to pick it up a mile & 1/2 from my work... (convenient)

I choose UPS now because they usually come between 4 and 5 PM and drop it off, and then someone is always home within an hour to bring the package inside. The only time I let FedEx drop it off with no signature, they dropped it off at the wrong house. Luckily the people were honest and looked up the address and called me and I went and got it myself.

i've heard the equipment used moving packages is different between ups and fedex, fedex handles packages better than UPS. I swear, i've received some packages from UPS that looked as if they were dropped off the planee while it flew over. I've never received a package from fedex that beat up before.

Another vote for Fedex. I think their staff has a more professional demeanor: striving to please, with no static, just deliveries. I've never been met with anything but a customer is always right, within reason, attitude. Plus their Ground service is extremely fast, cheap, convenient and reliable.

Having worked in a few shipping/receiving jobs I generally prefer FedEx. UPS can be horrible for package handling. Back in the mid 90s I had a horrible run with UPS and stuff being sent out to the southwest. Busted packages all the time. I agree on UPS ground.. slow as hell delivery times and no way would I trust anything sensitive to them for a week of transit.

As for delievery, it really depends on where you live. Last place I lived, UPS always delievered at bad times for me, they'd take an extra day if I wanted to pick it up myself (which was usually necessary) and were generally just a pain in the arse. In my current town, UPS isn't that bad and generally will show up past 5pm which is usually convenient for me. FedEx has almost always been fast, on time, and almost religiously show up at the same time for delieveries.

FedEx on this end for sure. I have used them all, FedEx, UPS and DHL. UPS is always late getting here sometimes 7PM or later! They have in the past gotten very rough with delicate items even though they were packed well there was some damage.

DHL just shipped a Used Mac G3 B&W from the east coast to me here in Central Calif. The box was bashed in and the left side of the Mac cracked. Besides that they left it and did not even check if I was home. I ran to the door to see the lady running to the truck and she was gone before I could get to her to complain. One ring of the bell and off she went. Even UPS does not do that.

FedEx has been faultless and I have used both FedEx and UPS a LOT. They are always on time with the shipment or even a couple of days early, I have never had a shipment damaged, they always wait and if I am not home leave a notice.

So for me it's FedEx all the way and I always use them when I can.
