To put that in context, I directed it and similar comments at people who posted lame attempts to deny and/or defend the Bushwhackos' illegal use of TORTURE and other war crimes and crimes against humanity. AFIC, anyone who condones such treatment is a disgrace to every human value our nation has held sacred for over 230 years. They dishonor our nation, our history and our people. They demean the value of every American life sacrificed in the name of defending our nation against the very evil they would have us become.

If that includes you, and you take offense, it's your problem.

It got about as far as all the other Cheney threads on war crimes. But public opinion is slowly changing and so many people are looking for that evidence that has to be there. People were tortured so there had to be a ring leader, so its not like no crime was committed.

Its often how crimes get solved, criminals are seldom fine up standing human being, and if they played fast and loose before they often will again. And when they get busted on something more recent, they will often implicate someone in an earlier crime to get a sentence reduction. And the same applies to CIA contractors that likely got their authorization directly from Darth Cheney or one person lower down the Chain of command. We all know how it works, Nixon led a merry chase for 18 months, but sweating the little fish led to the King Rat.

Absolutely. The premise of Cheney's innocence due to lack of formal charges is complete bullshit, proffered by only the most naive or partisan of hacks. Anyone who's been paying attention since 2002 (or there abouts) should be able to see Cheney's dictator-like offenses for what they are. Let's not forget that he directed torture on a Geneva Convention protected POW for political reasons. Cornhole and the other apologists will just have to forgive us for not being satisfied with the anemic sacrifice of Libby, afterall, Cheney's own words indicate a somewhat less than commendable track record.
