Federal judge sides with MIT over RIAA subpoenas

Link

Basically, the judge said that the RIAA subpoenas can't be served in Mass. since they were issued in D.C. They will have to reissue them if they was it to be legal. It's a small victory, but at least the RIAA will have to file paperwork everywhere they want violate peoples' rights...err catch people downloading instead of doing it all from one place.

[shamelessly ripped from fark]

It's nice to see that the RIAA has not bought or leased every judge

They are being investigated by the Senate over their recent actions.

Even better. I do see alot of political donations in their near future though.
