Federal Government Agencies To Join Arizona Boycott

Well it would be easy. We would call the militias terrorists and blow the shit out of them with our godless might.

Not.

the South: assault rifles and make shift explosives

the Fed: Predator drones and ac-30 gunships.

In the previous civil war the South took it's military assets with it. It wasn't a militia rebellion. If the same thing happened nowadays it would be very bloody indeed. I'm also pretty sure that the Red States (assuming they all joined in) would become similar to Russia. Have fun invading and occupying the sheer landmass of the United states with only the forces of a few states backing you.

This is all hypothetical though. As I previously stated, barring a truly severe violation it isn't going to happen.

1/4 of ICE staff are in Arizona and then schedule a conference in Arizona and then they move the conference because the agency (in D.C.) doesn't like the law?

Ya, they aren't trying to make a political point 🙄

Hell, let flush a ton of cash to move a conference and have 1/4 of the people attending travel somewhere else because we don't like a law.

I see no evidence in your article that either of these two agencies is avoiding a conference in Arizona because they don't like the law. One agency moved its conference to another state because the Mexican government, who was to be attending the conference, and IS apparently trying to make a statement against the law, refused to meet in the state. For the other, I can't tell one way or the other if someone doesn't like the law, or they are just trying to avoid controversy.

I'd love to see a state withhold their federal taxes. I think they're all too chicken shit to do it though. Maybe California will be first with their failing budget and the fact that they pay more than the get back. It'd be a great experiment.

I hope California withholds their federal taxes. It's fucking bullshit we pay more than we get back.

The war is coming. It's getting closer, but it's coming. What happened the last time the fed pissed off the states so much? I don't know, sometime around 1860s?

Oh please, you'll be hiding under your bed

And I'm sure you and Obama will be manning the tanks! Remember that "little" incident at Kent State? That pretty screwed things for the pols.

If the government starts ordering a Tienanmen Square of their very own, I suspect it will have very different results. Following the orders of politicians to shoot their brethren isn't something you can assume the military will follow through on. Nobody likes Republicans or Democrats that much. Well you and a few here maybe.

In the case of a genuine civil war the military will depose our current leadership and reestablish order. Then when things settle down a new government would arise. I'm not sure what would look like, but count on something different.

You're right. There's nothing misleading except the article itself. It's factual content belies the notion that these agencies are participating in some sort of boycott. A boycott is an intentional and organized avoidance of something in order to make a political point. That is not what happened with these 2 agencies.

It all depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is . . .

This is intentional - neither agency accidentally canceled. This is organized - Obama himself is leading the charge, and all his appointed department heads will follow. This is intended to make a political point - disagree with me and I will punish you using the power of the government. The idea that it's not a boycott simply because they haven't announced it in so many words is pure sophistry.

Well back in the 1860's the average American was in pretty good shape. These days not so much. Hell most of them can't be bothered to go out jogging let alone conduct a running covert battle. Of course with all the food sources drying up do to the conflict Americans will be losing a lot of weight and not in a good way.

No matter what fitness argument is made, I think everyone can agree on one thing: modern guns reduce the necessity to be fit in order to fight. Anyone with a gun is a substantial risk with how accurate modern guns are -- even that behemoth from the OT thread who is going for the record to be the heaviest woman ever.

Being fit might help you dodge some bullets / outrun people with terrible aim / those who don't aim ahead, as well as give you the edge in hand to hand, but I don't think the difference would be really significant with such an enormous amount of people.

Last year, I was listening to conservative talk radio. The Laura something show was on and she would talk about an outrage, for example phasing-out of incandescent light bulbs and then say something about armed revolt. I thought she was bat shit crazy and willing to say, no matter how stupid and wrong, anything for an audience.

Now you guys are talking about Civil War over two federal agencies not having conferences in Arizona. Considering that the war Conservative talk radio and some of you are hot for would lead to the death of 100,000s of US citizens, I hope the people who run this country are not bat shit crazy.

Demtards officials in the Fed are setting quite the precedent here with their actions.

Take this situtation and reverse it.

Imagine if you will that during the Bush years there were some US federal agencies which decided to openly boycotted California based on that state's stance on medical marijuana and the breaking of federal drug laws.

Could you imagine the outrage amongst the left in this nation?

Lets all thank the founding fathers for the 2nd amendment because you are right the end results of a Tienanmen Square style crack down would be totally different. 🙂
