Federal Elections Standards

Yeah, but the thing is, most republicans think that anything the dems do in elections is a sneaky attempt to rig them in their favor, meaning that whatever the dems propose, they'll advocate for the opposite. Probably better that they use reverse psychology and loudly advocate against a federal standard.

Actually most republicans KNOW the elections are currently rigged in their favor-everything from the blatant and successful efforts to bar people who generally wouldn't vote GOP from voting (politely called suppress the vote) to rampant gerrymandering.

The GOP will oppose anything to make voting fair, equal and univerisal as they know it is bad for them.

but then more people would vote and republicans would lose!

If you read the article, you'll see where they flat out say those things openly.

National election standards? Like Voter ID, and dead people and non citizens are not valid to vote? Yes please.
you mean solving problems that don't exist while disenfranchising far more people than the non-existent fraud it would prevent?

surely if you know of any voter fraud, you could have cashed in on Dan Patrick's $1M bounty

Require all digital voting systems to provide their source code too (better yet, just require that they run open source OS/software.)
Doubt any manufacturer would like "open source" on their machines and it's pointless anyway, Dominion machines generate a paper ballot for every vote, these can, (and were) used to verify election tallies.
