"The Federal Reserve is currently winding down its large-scale asset purchase program. Also known as quantitative easing (QE), this program aimed to stimulate the economy through massive purchases of Treasury and mortgage-backed securities.

However, San Francisco Fed President John Williams now suggests the possibility that the Fed needs could start another round of QE."

The Fed and the stock market are addicted to QE and they may continue it, not to the surprise of anyone here. But why not? It makes sense. They created $4 trillion and the dollar is stronger than ever against the yen, pound and euro. Every nation is playing a game of who can have the cheapest currency so the jobs come to them, and the US is actually losing the game because our economy is sadly the strongest out there.

Might as well print $100 trillion, buy up every piece of land on the planet and then when people finally release how worthless the dollar is, its too late.

I dont think they will ever get rid of QE. They may taper it off over time to the point it becomes less and less relevant. But we just wont stomach a correction.

Technically even if QE ends it wont end because all the interest is being rolled over indefinitely which ends up being about 15 billion a month in permanent QE. Of course with recession looming QE has to start over again.
