but...but...but...just the stock market is expanding, so the wealthiest 1% of Americans are reaping the gains at the expense of the working man :)

Darn job reports were still a little weak. Numbers improving but at a slower clip.

Services Robust in Feb. But Hiring Meager

Some good projections:
In a ray of hope for frustrated job seekers, a survey of leading U.S. chief executives released on Wednesday showed 33 percent expect their companies to add jobs over the next six months, up from 25 percent when a similar survey was released in December.

The poll from the Business Roundtable, the country's main association of CEOs, showed 45 percent expecting no change in employment at their companies while 22 percent expect jobs to decline over the next six months.

Corps aren't going to open the floodgates until they really feel pain.

The only thing expanding around here is the hot air coming out of Dave & Co's mouths. :p

This is good news. Slow methodic economic growth is much preferred over rapid growth.

"Even with the pickup in factory activity, manufacturers have lost 3 million jobs since July 2000.

On the jobs front, however, the report found employment "growing slowly" in most central bank districts.

A separate survey of chief executives of the nation's biggest companies suggested hiring could start to pick up. One-third of the executives said they expected to increase hiring in the next six months, while 22% expected to cut payrolls and 45% expected no change"

Yep, 3 million people don't exist. Nearly a quarter of all CEO's will Lay Off more people, yep a lot of hot air alright

Then in the same day at least 1,000 more people at gateway are getting to be laid off. (while on other sites it puts the estimate around 2x that.)

Yep, that's lots of hot air. Why don't you tell me how many jobs manufacturing has lost in the last 50 years and then tell me where all those unemployed people went? By your figures, most of America is unemployed.

The economy can't judged by any one company.

If gateway is laying off, it could be because they aren't competing well with dell.

Even in the late 90s companies who performed poorly laid people off and went out of business.

Dave, I challenge you to find one single post, JUST ONE, where someone (other than yourself) claims the economy is "soaring" or "booming" or "fantastic". Are you up for the challenge?

I think you'll find plenty that say "recovering" or "growing" or "improving" because that is what it is...

Booming Economy doesnt mean every company is booming.

Montgomery Wards went out of Business in 2000
KMart Filed BK in the 90s.

Was the Dot.Com bust Bush's fault?

Look at CyberRebate.coms business model...yeah that was Bush's fault

Exact words of many articles as well as CAD and Charrison.

Later CAD & Co retrenched to the wuss drivel words you just typed out.

I challenge you to, How long do we have to listen to this "recovering" or "growing" or "improving" crap before ever seeing anything really happening? 2 years, 4 year 10 years , what?

- dave, don't be a liar. I've repeatedly had to tell you that things aren't "perfect" but they are increasingly getting better when you make that accusation. The only thing you have to argue is Jobs and even that isn't looking good for you. Unemployment is down considerably, stock market has recovered, inflation is low, GDP is making great strides, etc.

I think it you who is spewing "drivel".

"Unemployment is down considerably"

Your "considerably" is a spit in the face and a joke to millions of Americans. Disgusting

"stock market has recovered"

Rich Boys playing Monopoly is hardly "recovered".

"inflation is low"

Not for long, Greenspan keeps yelping he has to raise the rates, his Rich Boy Bankers have been floating everybody too long and they want to crank their profits up.

"GDP is making great strides"

Return to legal slavery is a great thing for Production.

"etc"

You can't even stand on the rest of the drivel nevermind "etc".

Since you never answered in the other thread - what is the current unemployment rate in Georgia dave?

And yes - Unemployment is down considerably since the effects of the Recession. It's at 5.6...but then again you don't believe the gov't number system they've used. Plus you don't believe the other lesser used system - I guess you must be an expert then - no?

I've posted the numbers and remarks from the Georgia Labor Commissioner. He paints a pretty grim picture but that has to be because he is one of the only Democrats left other than the Lt Governor and AG right?

Must be a better expert than the "experts" to not lose millions of people. Go ahead though, you and The President keep spitting in the face of millions of out of work Americans for 8 more months.

dave I got a question?

How are all the walmart and McD workers affording your dsl adapters? They seem to be flying off the shelves...

From your website
Due to incredible demand there is currently a 2 week delay in getting Modems available

Please refrain from calling the Manufacturer's (Zoom) 800 Number.

Some Retail Store Locations such as Microcenter may still have some Modems on the shelves. They may also possibly have a website available as well.

I had someone here in the Atlanta area able to get a X5 from the Atlanta Microcenter store.

--------------------------------------

I know if you are trying to purchase a Modem and hate to see this backlog, it is actually a very good thing for the U.S. DSL Market, that means DSL is growing at a pace that the U.S. should be growing at and people are demanding other DSL Modem alternatives other than what the Phone Companies push onto people. Thank you everyone.

Maybe the economy is booming afterall and dave is keeping it all to himself....

Maybe the economy is booming afterall and dave is keeping it all to himself....

If you've been reading any of my posts it's mainly due to the fact that a Corrupt Telephone Company has had theor hand forced to stop being in the Hardware business. Qwest pulled an Enron kind of manuever and are under Judicial proceedings. They supplied the State of Arizona with DSLModems and instead of putting it down as an expense they put it down as profit.

This has led to both new and old customers out in the western states to go out and find Modems themselves.

Also since I have no stock as you can see I have been pointing people to where they can find Modems.

It should expand for at least a few more months, and perhaps even past the election and into next year a bit.

Before the collapse that is.

Credit card economics aint gonna work this time around.

The trick for most people is figure out the peak month before dumping all stocks and funds.

It's not doomsday at all.

Just another huge market correction. Stocks are already becoming overpriced.

And good jobs are leaving the USA.
