February 3rd Snowstorm

Once again, mother nature has delivered a fierce one two punch to those of us who live in the northeast. The news is saying over 12" of snow for today and I believe it. It's snowing fast and furious (no pun intended) outside and looks to be the worst storm this winter.

Don't bother driving in this unless you absolutely have to or have chains on your car/truck, not worth the 1000's of dollars of damage you will do to your vehicle. You know its bad when the snow plows are sliding all over the road.

I guess this one is missing us. We won't get ours in upstate NY until Wednesday but it's only calling for about a foot. Hopefully it's timed right so schools close and I can stay home 🙂

Snowing since early this morning. 5" or so. Expecting 7". Bah freaking humbug.

In 07003, there was only about an inch when I went to the gym at 0630 but by the time I got ready and left for work at about 0830 there were probably 3 inches of snow.

Strangely, my commute was only slowed by about 10 minutes.

Supposed to get snow all week here. Hasn't started yet, though.

Where are you exactly, OP? Snowing here (30 miles north of Philadelphia), and we're supposed to get "only" 3-6." By the looks of things so far, it'll probably be on the high end of that forecast.

At least it looks light and fluffy. Mmmmmm, fluffy. 😛

Thankfully, no snow predicted for us...but it's gonna get fucking cold again...down into the mid-teens at night for the next several days.
Dammit...it's "Febyouairy" it's 'posed to be warming up!

Got 8" over the weekend. Was almost -15 here this morning. Expecting another 8" tomorrow & Wednesday. Then that again on Friday.

This has been the coldest, snowiest winter in *A LONG* time for us in the midwest.

Only supposed to get a few inches out of this one here in MA. Tomorrow night we're supposed to get 6-8". And then a potential bigger storm during the weekend.

Looks to be about 6" so far. My neighbor took his snowblower out, did only a small part and went back inside. Not worth doing till it's over. I wish I hadn't left mine at my dad's, but the thing ain't exactly light enough to drive back and forth.

I just did mine, part by hand and part with my neighbor's blower. It's still coming down but I have calls this afternoon and I wanted to get the bulk of it off before nightfall. Going to be >32F the next couple of days, so what's left should melt.
