Since no one will answer my question in the software forum....

my friend wants to get FEAR and I'm not sure if he will be able to run it.

his current system is:

AMD Athlon 64 3400+
1 GB DDR PC 3200 RAM
FX5500 video card

Anyone running FEAR with this type of setup? Can he run at 1024x768 resolution? Can he play it at all?

i think the video card is going to hold him back a good bit, but i'm not sure.

well, right now he has that system but only 512 mb of ram and the game will "run" but its extremely slow and choppy - unplayable. if he shoots, you hear the gunshot like 10 seconds later.
he's going to get another 512 mb of ram soon but i still think the video card is going to keep him from enjoying it.

Yes, the graphic card is too low end. He will still beable to play it with some decent specs though.
