Just beat it. Can't say I liked the ending either... a little too much focus on the story at the expense of any real combat. The revelations were a little twisted and disturbing perhaps, but hardly qualify as good sci-fi horror. Still, as a preview of more things to come for our protagonist, it worked reasonably well. I'd give it a 3.5/5.
To be more on-topic, it's really quite playable on my X800 XT at 1152x864 medium detail, I suspect mainly because most of my major firefights involved use of SlowMo and thus I never really needed the high framerates.
