fidsked a drive the other day and after the format i realised i only had 2 gig of a 6.4 gig drive. i was in a hurry so i went ahead and set up windows and my other stuff. is there any way to get the full drive size to register without wiping it clean? jer

Go back and run Fdisk again you should be able to setup an extended dos partion on the rest of the drive and setup a logical drive (d)... I tend to do this with smaller drives anyhow to allow me to put my save files on the (d) drive so if I need to wipe out the OS there is no problem because its in its own little partition... :)

Yeah, I think if you chose "no" to the large disk support question in fdisk, which is MS's way of asking you if you want FAT16 or FAT32, you will get a 2G limitation.

I assume you are using win98 if you used fdisk so try drive converter. I really don't think that will get you the extra space back though. You'll probably have to Partition Magic anyway.
